Music at Munn’s

Our Music Director: Rita Lamplugh

             Rita was born and educated in England.  She studied voice, piano and theory at the Royal College of Music in London for three years.  Rita taught high school music in England before coming to Canada in 1968.  She has been a private music teacher in voice, piano and music theory since 1970 – first for 14 years in St. Bruno, south of Montreal and since then in Oakville.  Rita is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association and the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association.  She has been the Music Director at Munn’s since 1989. 

Choral Opportunities at Munn’s:

 The Junior Choir

             The junior choir is for children who like to sing and membership is open to any child.  Practices take place on Sunday mornings following the 10:30 a.m. service.

 The Intermediate Choir

             This choir is a group of singers selected by Rita based on their musical ability as demonstrated in the junior choir.

 The Senior Choir

             The senior choir practices on Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. and sings at the 10:30 service on Sunday mornings.  The Senior Choir is always looking for new members in all parts.
